After obtaining all my props and finding a good time to shoot, I filmed my opening scene with my family as actors. The filming process was a challenge as I really wanted the emphasis to be on showing improvement from my preliminary task. I have filmed more than enough footage to meet the required time limit for my opening scene, and I have given myself enough footage and shots to fulfill my chance to show improvement in the editing process, as after my preliminary task, I did little editing. It was difficult having the actors (my family) deliver the right tones and expressions I envisioned for my scenes, but this allowed for me to experiment with ways I could deliver the tones of my opening scene with the shots themselves and hopefully good music. Next blogs I hope to upload a more detailed briefing of my filming process, as well as bloopers and behind the scenes of filming.
