In the beginning I found it hard to associated Propp's theory with documentaries, as the character theory seems more appropriate for media that has been constructed and artificially created. However, through the use of editing, some documentaries capture Propp's theory, such as 'Heroin(e)' and 'The Last Dance'. These documentaries can both be applied to Propp' theory, which has allowed me to understand documentaries as a construct better, as well as Propp's theory. In my own response to documentary, I hope to take notice of how my characters, or the people I show are represented.
