After finding my documentary idea, I researched a TV channel that would be appropriate for my documentary topic, and chose the BBC3. After having chosen a TV channel, I had to make sure that the type of documentaries produced by BBC3 were similar to my own documentary. I spent some time looking and watching some of the documentaries on BBC3, starting broadly, with just some popular documentaries, such as Stacey Dooley investigates, and then I wtached some specific documentaries that were more similar to my topic. Researching both of these helped define my Target Audience, as the TV channel comes with its demographic, I must make my documentary suit that. Reviewing further documentaries on BBC3 equally allowed me to understand what techniques and docuemntary modes suit that target audience, which provided me useful information on how to engage with the younger target audience.
