This storyboard drafts the start of my documentary, transitioning from a visual graphic to a segment of my interview. I decided to draw my storyboard, because it allowed for my creativity to flow throughout the process of drawing my shots, which would be limited if I had just taken photos. My aim is to try to challenge some typical conventions of documentaries, through creative shots, hence drawing out my storyboard encouraged me to remain as creative as possible. I find story boarding incredibly helpful, as it provides a reference during filming for what I intend my shots to look like. This storyboard was especially helpful as it allowed me to illustrate what the beginning of my documentary will look like, which will help me when both filming and editing. I did the same technique as my Year 12 storyboard, however I have made multiple storyboards for different scenes, which has been more time consuming and required me to think in more detail about what my shots will look like.
