FINDING STOCK FOOTAGE FOR DOCUMENTARY

Through creating my story-board, I acknowledged that I intended to include some creative visuals to lay over facts or interview audio. I had story-boarded a match cut between a super close up of my interviewees eye, and a visual graphic of an eye, that will be accompanied by a statistic reporting on how many immigrants feel alienated in the UK. Acquiring a visual statistic of an eye was difficult, however, I searched on websites that provide stock videos for anything, and found a couple short graphics that I liked. Equally, beyond stock footage, I needed a visual graphic of my title and captions for another statistic. I have more in depth research to include on fonts and text styles, however I looked on a couple websites in order to get an idea of what my captions could look like. I initially wanted a serif type of font, that would suggest to the audience that the documentary topic is serious and official, however I am contemplating a sans-serif font, as this suggests a sense of modernity within my documentary, which would comply with my younger target audience. My blog following this should refer to research done on fonts and text styles, as this is highly important and must be a very thoughtful choice.
