Following the final stages of my project, I have produced four critical questions to wrap up my entire course of my horror project. My first critical question details how my product used or challenged conventions and how it represented social groups or issues. I found this critical question the easiest to respond to, as my opening scene provided lots of examples of representations and social issues, such as eh representation of women in horror. Throughout the planning of my opening scene, I considered different possible social issues I could address in my opening scene, as a way of establishing a strong negotiated and opposed reader. I focused mainly on conventional issues that are more prevalent today, as these correlate with the trends of younger audiences getting more involved with horror films.
