Although I am awaiting to get feedback for my initial documentary idea, I have decided that I should research similar documentaries to my own. I know my documentary will be family based, and that an emphasis will be placed on living abroad from your families, however I am looking more into a personal perspective, with one interviewee discussing the dark side of living in another culture. I looked into an article discussing the '5 thought provoking documentaries about family', which enabled me to grasp a picture of what these type of documentaries look like. However, as I must 'release' my documentary on a UK broadcasting channel, my next blog will be looking at the type of documentaries and target audiences certain broadcasters have, which will shape my documentary idea, as I will adjust it to the correct broadcasting channel.
