RESEARCHING MARIE CLAIRE MAGAZINE

After researching magazines to do for my minor task and deciding on Marie Claire, I conducted some further research in order to ensure that my magazine would be as accurate as possible. I looked into some online resources that were accessible to me, and found some interesting information on Slideshare and on other websites. I researched into the font types, colors, images and page layouts of Marie Claire magazines, and referred to a specific double page in my own response to my minor task. I found that the header font for Marie Claire is Heroine Pro, however Canva did not offer this font type so I had to further research similar fonts in order to maintain an accurate representation of a Marie Claire magazine. I also found that Marie Claire magazines typically rely on their images to illustrate color and their texts are usually more monochrome, which is something I tried to replicate in my own response for my minor task. Equally, research from a Slideshare presentation allowed me to understand the layout and positioning of dates and titles, relevant to Marie Claire magazines, to which I then incorporated in my minor task. After conducting this research, my next step will be to put together all my research and information obtained into a magazine template on Canva and then receive some feedback which I will respond to.
