After drafting my first response for my critical reflection, I received some feedback on some corrections that I need to make. The first thing that was mentioned was that I should include the dates of the documentaries I referenced, and with regards to this, another note was that I need to explain how I referenced Vertov and montage in my own documentary. Another area of feedback, was that I needed to explain my representations in more depth and possibly link in some theory to that. The theory suggested to me was post-colonial theory, however I may also refer to media audience theory as well. In addition to representations, I was encouraged to include more terminology on how my representations were constructed, by which I can include terminology relevant to magazines and social media as I mention m minor tasks. The final two criticism were that I should try to mention a successful documentary marketing package when discussing branding, and to include audience theory in my last question as I had not included enough. Upon this feedback, I will make these changes and then produce a second draft and report back on the feedback I receive for that.
